The counting of votes for the elections of Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad of West Bengal started at 8 am. Mamta Banerjee's TMC party is at the forefront of trends.
The explosion occurred at a booth in Diamond Harbor in the 24 South Parganas while security personnel were stationed at polling stations to count votes. A man ran away with a ballot box from counting center in Malda.
In Nadia district people beat the police. At the same time, the BJP accused the TMC of not allowing its citizens to go to polling stations.

- Gram Panchayat candidate Mamoni Bibi and her husband Mahibul Mondal of Trinamool congress claimed that CPM staff assaulted them and took the ID cards from the countiong agent.
- Ordinary people blocked the road of Furfura Sharif Taltala Haat to protest vote-stealing at the Jangipara counting centre.
- Trinamool won 204 seats in Malda. The BJP won 88 seats, the congress 68 seats and the CPM 21 seats. Here the opposition won a total of 180 seats. In other words, the ratio of Trinamool to the opposition is 55:45.
- BJP won 3 out of 7 gram panchayat in 2 nadigram blocks. In the 2021 general election, BJP's Shubendu Adhikari defeated Mamta Banerjee for the Nadigram seat.
